First Words

It's so much fun to hear the new words that Ava learns and hear her try to pronounce them.

One word that is cute now, but may not be so cute soon is "No". Usually when you ask Ava a question everything is answered with "yeah, yeah". Last night I asked Ava if we should take Reese out of the car, I was taken by surprise when I heard "No"! As she ran around the house last night, she repeated "no, no, no, no, no"!

Daddy's Home (Almost)

These were the girls reactions when I told them Daddy was on his way home last night. As you can see one was stunned and one was excited! :-) These were taken on my camera phone so its not the best quality.

Reese's Time to Shine!

Let's face it, Reese has been a little overshadowed since she's been born since Ava was doing so many firsts right around that time!

Well this weekend, Reese decided she wanted the spotlight and busted out several 1sts for her! In the last few days she has rolled over, found her thumb, and decided she wants to be heard and has started doing little squeals and yells!

When Reese does a little squeal Ava will come running over and do a squeal right back in Reese's face and they continue to imitate each other for several minutes. Both of them have big grins on their faces while they do it. It's so cute to watch them together!

Reese's Report

Reese had her 4 month check-up yesterday. She weighed in at 14lb 9 oz and 23 3/4 in long. In comparison to Ava at that age she is not far off. Ava was 14lb 11 oz and 24 in long.

Reese got a good report for development, but the Dr. did find that she had an ear infection. I'm glad she had her appt or I would have never known that she had it. The poor little thing had been fussy, but I just thought it was because she was conjested, but the Dr. said that her ear was likely causing it. So, she has antibiotic and should be better soon!

This one's for you Ryan!

Last night we had a bit of a traumatic moment. I opened up the oven to take dinner out and before I knew it I see a little hand on top of the inside of the oven! Poor little Avie was trying to see what I was doing and put her hand on the hot oven! She handled it like a champ, she had some tears, but Daddy was able to ice up her hand, and before we knew it she was back in action doing her "party dance". Her "party dance" conisists of twirling around and going, uhhhhhhhhhh!
